Sex Therapy
Why sex therapy?
Sex and sexuality are inseparable from the human experience. While they evolve over the course of our lives, they remain central to who we are, regardless of whether we acknowledge, embrace, or reject them. Through sexuality, we can experience both profound joy and deep pain. When approached consciously and aligned with our values, it can connect us to the core of our being, allowing for the most authentic self-expression, where time expands, pleasure heals, and meaningful connection flourishes. However, unconscious sexual experiences or exploitation can create ruptures in our sense of wholeness and distort our relationship with sexuality. Sex therapy can help restore this connection, guiding individuals back to their inherent right to sexual wellness and authentic erotic expression.
In modern American culture, sex is caught in a paradox—simultaneously repressed and commodified preoccupation—leading many to categorize sexual expression as either “good” or “bad.” Beyond the realm of exploitation, I am committed to creating a space that fosters curiosity, non-judgment, exploration, healing, and celebration around sexuality. It is important that individuals, not oppressive systems, determine what feels true and aligned for them in their sexual journeys.
What is “sexuality”?
“…a central aspect of being human throughout life encompasses sex, gender identities and roles, sexual orientation, eroticism, pleasure, intimacy and reproduction. Sexuality is experienced and expressed in thoughts, fantasies, desires, beliefs, attitudes, values, behaviours, practices, roles and relationships.
